    Greensburg Tornado

Sunday, May 6, 2007, 11:52 AM CST [General]

I would like to ask you to keep the people of Greensburg, Kansas in you toughts and prayers.  On Friday, May 4 a mile wide tornado scored a direct hit on the the small town of 1,400 people, wiping out 95% of the town.  There have been 9 deaths reported...so far.  They are still searching.  The search was called off last night due to more threatening weather.  Unfortunatly, another tornado touched down just 2 miles NE of the disaster site.  I live 30 miles East of Greensburg and yesterday a tornado touched down about 2 miles from our house causing minimal damage to a farm sted and field.  We are "in for it" for the next 2 to 3 days.  This morning isn't looking very promising, there have already been 2 tornado warnings in surrounding counties.  Makes you want to live in Kansas...huh.  It's sad to say, this has been the deadliest tornado season in the past 7 years and it has just started.  Already, 68 people have died in Kansas due to tornados. The Weather Channel stated that the average death rate is about 27 per season.  Looks like Mother nature has it in for us.

I recently bought a blackwidow and I'm having some trouble getting use to it.  Does anyone have any tips that might help me out? I'd really appreciate it.
